doozer blues

Hi, I’ve been browsing through this site and it looks great.
But there’s a question that I haven’t seen.
I’m in second year engineering (computer). But as I have found out, I’m not cut out for the engineering life. Which is why i want to transfer to Arts and Science for a Math Major.
I was wondering, will I get the transfer credits required, and is engineering math on the same difficulty as a math major program? I took MAT196/MAT 197 and looked at the math course website, and there are equivalent for some first year courses.
Sorry, One more question, I have a CGPA of 2.52, what are my chances of getting in?
Thanks

Like, I sure hope this is a genuine question, and not something you came up with because you thought the site wasn’t complete enough…

So, as for you transfer credits, I’m not sure which engineering credits do transfer and why, but when you apply for an internal transfer, you also need to complete an online transfer credit request (see details here), and then all the courses you want to take with you to your new A&S life will be, well, assessed, and granted if all’s well. I don’t know if you can know for sure before the process ends, but one thing you can do is call the math department and ask them if those courses usually transfer. They can give you a reliable, albeit unofficial answer.

And about your GPA, it should be alright, because the admission site specifies a minimum of 2.5 to be considered for admission to St. George. I guess that’s good news then.
