I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle

I know there is some precedent on the site for students with bicycle safety issues but I’m wondering as a prospective student what the policies are for storing my bike in my residence room? Are the policies different from college to college or is there an answer they all swear by?

Thanks so much,
Lance

OH MAH GAAWD Lance, how’s Matty

Yah … Bromance. We love that word … how witty, just like Bangelina. These people get paid to add one letter to words and make new ones

On that jealous note we are going to have a side bar … TED:

Top 5 Male Romances/Bromances/Brothas from anotha motha

Tom Cruise and David Beckham – Sure they both like to flail their legs. Tommy on Oprah’s couch and Dave with his bending

Brad Pitt and George Clooney – All those Ocean’s movies created a life long bond

Gene Simmons and Carrot Top – Both are more famous then they really should be. Really, who is Carrot Top?

Joey and Chandler – Bonding over beers and Baywatch, the manliest bromance out there

Leonardo Dicaprio and Zac Efron – I don’t get it

Back to your question. You have managed to stump various housing representives on campus. I was sent from person to person and no body knows the policy or even if there is a policy.
Here’s what I know. There are generally indoor bike rooms that require a key to get in, and can only be accessed by fellow residence members. I haven’t heard of bikes being stolen from here as it is pretty risky with the security guards, cameras and multiple locked doors to get through and there are dumb asses who lock their bikes from the tires outside (warning – tires can be removed easily).
Now, if you’re still a little uneasy about using those rooms you can most likely sneak your bike into your room (sneaking also might not be necessary as some residences won’t care). The residences are filled with basement and side doors that you can bring in your bike undetected.
So, no, there is not one policy that all colleges go by … sorry dude.

Forever and Always,
Aska
