I really screwed an essay because my family had an emergency the night before….If i tell the TA will they cut me some slack?
while i don’t want to hem and ham about technicalities, it really does depend on your TA. some TA’s (when not wearing le coq sportif sneakers really exceptionally well), are kind and understanding and some TA’s (especially within the art history department) are she-devils. the best thing to do would actually be to make an appointment with the counseling and learning skills centre in the koffler building, so that someone can write you a medical note. if you show this to your TA, they can’t really argue with you.
otherwise, you’ll have to play the “why did i do this the night before game?” and that’s always a losing battle.
