Hello! I’m in grade 11, and i want to go to univercity of toronto for Life
science. My average now is 86. all my marks are above 85 except English and
Physics. I know that U of T particularly look at the mark for English and Math.
I have 97 in math… and i suck at English… does it really matter in Gr 12
that my english mark needs to be over 85? I just dont think i can do it…all
my other subjects can be above 87 for sure…so does anyone have any great
ideas about how to get into u of t with a low english mark? Thanks a lot
I can see from your question that your English skills need a bit of tweaking.? If you?re really that worried about it, then do something about it NOW.? Get tutoring, or do your eng credit in summer school ? all of your concentration will be on the one course and you?ll be bound to do better than normal.? I had a tutor for math in grade ten (mr(s). I?ve got a 97 in the subject), and I did really well in grade eleven as a result of it.? May I suggest starting by reading The Little Engine that Could?? It?s a quick and easy read full of inspirational messages.
But really – the grade eleven marks are stressed if you want an early admission or scholarship money from U of T.? But, you have a year to fix the problem ? if you?re not over anxious about early admission, then you should only really stress about your grade twelve marks.
As a side, all of your other marks seem to be impressively high and will balance out your non-awesome English mark.? This school does look at the grade, but also the student as a whole.? Just make sure that you keep applying yourself that well in your final year of high school a la the train: I think I can?I think I can?I know I can?etc.? Dos that anser ur kwesshon?
