a whole bunch of good q & a…

how nice to have a forum like this!
i’ve got tons of questions that need to be answered….

1. How can i go about finding out the exact, or near exact amount of money that i have to pay for tuition, residence, and the Incidental and Ancillary Fees? I know that a full course is around 400 bucks and i have to take 5 a year…and residence at Innis is 3000 something per school year….but i feel that there must be some other money that i have to pay for whatever…and i can’t really find the details on the sites either…could just been me or it’s really not on there @@

well, the fees (& increases) haven’t been decided on yet, but this is what i paid last year (2000-2001):
Tuition & all incidental fees: $4800.00 approx
Innis Res rent: $4400

2. when we received our acceptance and everything and are on our way to u of t…if we arrive eariler than the school starting date, are we able to move into our residence right away or do we have to find a place to settle down first?
cuz if there’s summer orientation it would look right to join…but then i dont’ want to spend thousands of dollars staying in hotel or live on the streets….and when does school start exactly for fall ’02? i somehow believed that it would be Sept. 18th….but i don’t even know where i got that from but i just keep on believing it anyways

you have to move in on move in day. that one day that everyone moves in. it is chaos. innis res will tell you all about it. it sucks.
sept 3-6> new student orientation
sept 9> classes begin

3. how hard is it to transfer into U of T? where can i find the required GPA for transfering and stuff?

it’s the same as highschool. do it through ouac, choose the previous post-seondary education form. same approximate averages as well. look over other responses on this site.

4. how exactly is one floor of Innis like? as like,…how many rooms are there in a floor…interaction between the ppl living on the same floor…and how to share kitchen and washroom and stuff

innis is like an apartment building. you share a suite with 3 or 4 other people. one and a half or two washrooms and a kitchen. about 60 students in 13 suits. you get close to your floor, if they’re cool, but the whole building interacts a lot.

Man that was a lot of typing….thanks for answering them and having the patience to finish reading them even..but yeah so last question…who are running this forum and answering all the questions ? i know obvious students from u of t..but like..3rd year? 4th year? or any resident in Innis..or anybody in U of T…anyways …thanks again guys

this is actually a highly technical computerized response program that an innis resident created 3 years ago. the student has since graduated and moved onto highly techincal computer programming dealing with cyborgs.

cheers,
