I had a question which none of my incompetent friends seem to be able to answer so I was hoping you could help me out. I like this guy in one of my classes, a lot… He’s this artsy-fartsy type, kinda punker rockerish, quiet yet brilliant. You know the type. I’m one of those preppy, put together girls that seems totally unapproachable. All my friends tell me he is ugly and that I’m too pretty for him, I think he is beautiful. Problem is how do I go for this guy. We have never said a word to each other and he seems snobby and I wonder if I would fit his standards. I’ve been told I’m very attractive but I just don’t have the confidence to talk to this guy. What do I do?<\/p>\n

\nand i’ll be honest, though loads of people neglect this fact, especially those on the scene, every punker wants a put together girl. and i’ll be honest, the reason is because it’s the only way we have of staying in touch with the main stream. so be beautiful and fall in love with a punker.
\nbest way to approach him is to just be as chill as you can be. don’t pressure things, don’t make any blatant stabs at hooking up. just slowly get to know him and try to understand his perspective. if he’s a worth while human being, and he’s available, i’m sure he’ll reciprocate. try talking about real issues. maybe bring up capitalism, or government control, or environmental rights once you get to know him. he’ll love you for it unless he’s a poser.
