Hi!!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>i’m<\/span>\u00a0a gr 11\u00a0<\/span>right now <\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>i’ve<\/span>\u00a0never been good at\u00a0<\/span>english<\/span>\u00a0and it brings down my top 6 (<\/span>i<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>wanna<\/span>\u00a0get into life sci). if\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>\u00a0take\u00a0<\/span>english<\/span>\u00a0in summer\u00a0<\/span>school<\/span>, would\u00a0<\/span>uoft<\/span>\u00a0view my\u00a0<\/span>english<\/span>\u00a0mark as an inflated one? (St. George Campus!)<\/span><\/p>\n

you’re\u00a0totally not\u00a0alone with\u00a0english\u00a0bringing your average down, so many people in my high school who were aiming for some super competitive stem programs also had the same conundrum.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the\u00a0good news is that\u00a0uoft\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0care where you take your classes,\u00a0as long as\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0through a\u00a0ministry approved\u00a0school.<\/span><\/a> if the summer school course you wanna take is through your regular school\/board OR an online accredited platform, you have nothing to worry about!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the sky is falling, hold onto your socks because the good news doesn\u2019t end there: uoft also doesn\u2019t consider grade inflation. well, i guess that\u2019s not good news to everyone… but in your case, it means that even if your summer course is perhaps a little bit easier than it would be during the normal school year, it won\u2019t affect your chances.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

so…. yay! good news on all fronts i think. just make sure that if you decide to take english during the summer, do it during this upcoming year (NOT the summer after grade 12). <\/span>uoft\u00a0requires you to\u00a0have completed or be registered in all your\u00a0prereqs\u00a0by admission.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

good luck and try not to let hamlet ruin your summer vacation.<\/span><\/p>\n
