The subject itself\u00a0isn&#8217;t\u00a0important to me since\u00a0it&#8217;s\u00a0a yearbook course, and\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0planning\u00a0on going\u00a0into the social sciences or politics, preferably in St. George (or other campuses\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0still debating ?). But I also know\u00a0UofT\u00a0(and I&#8217;m\u00a0gonna\u00a0guess other unis as well) looks at grade 11 courses, which is\u00a0kinda\u00a0freaking me out \ud83d\ude41 I do have a 86% average right now (without the course I&#8217;m failing since there hasn&#8217;t been a grade out for it yet&#8230;. ?),\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0doing decent-ish\u00a0in my courses,\u00a0esp\u00a0w my current mental health and constant missing school for counselling or other issues ?.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I also wanted to know if universities would care that\u00a0there&#8217;s\u00a0a sudden boost in my grades for gr12 (hypothetically, if\u00a0I could even manage that ?). I&#8217;m only doing pretty poorly now because of my current family situation and from missing a bunch of school, I obviously plan on doing much better in gr12 and I was planning on taking Virtual school for the\u00a0maths\u00a0because I work better at my own pace, but I&#8217;m worried\u00a0UofT\u00a0would think I&#8217;m cheating and not that I&#8217;m actually able to lock in or something like that because my 85% in math is suddenly 90% or more (My mom keeps telling me this so I&#8217;m\u00a0kinda\u00a0scared ?) and a lot of people keep telling me a lot of different things like grade 11 doesn&#8217;t matter only gr12 does, or that gr11 really matters. And then I get told if I fail a course, or get my average under 85% I can&#8217;t get into any &#8220;good&#8221; programs, so I really just don&#8217;t know what to believe, and I can&#8217;t exactly trust everything Reddit says all the time ? grade 11, does not spell doom for your admission chances.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsci.utoronto.ca\/future\/ready-apply\/admission-categories\/social-sciences#admission-requirements-accordion-3\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">for social sciences,\u00a0uoft\u00a0will be looking closest at your top\u00a0six grade 12 u\/m courses (assuming\u00a0ontario?), including\u00a0english<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0yes, they will look at your grade 11 marks, but failing a non-required course when you have an otherwise good record\u00a0won\u2019t\u00a0be the end of the world.\u00a0<\/span><span consideration for most\u00a0utsg\u00a0programs, is safe for a lot of\u00a0utm\/utsc\u00a0programs, and\u00a0is\u00a0absolutely enough\u00a0to get into \u201cgood\u201d programs all over\u00a0ontario.\u00a0you just\u00a0gotta\u00a0remember that most of the people you see on those forums\u00a0are equally clueless to how unis\u00a0actually work, OR, if\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0in\u00a0uni, they may only be aware of their specific circumstances. plus,\u00a0i\u00a0hate\u00a0to say it, but\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0a lot of keeners on
