My name is Angela. I am a second year student. I want to major in Biology for Health Sciences (they accepted me) and Forensics. It says on this website http:\/\/registrar.utm.utoronto.ca\/regcal\/WEBGROUP10.html <\/a>that I need a GPA of at least 2.7 to get in forensics and at least 65% on first year chemistry. My GPA is 2.62 (0.08 less than the minimum) and my chemistry mark is 1.5% less than the minimum. It still says requested. Is there any chance I would get accepted?<\/p>\n

I just had an array of hope levels for you. There is still hope because your status is saying “requested”. It will change to either “Invited” or “Refused”.<\/p>\n

The thing that is concerning me is this little note in the course calendar “Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into the program.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

This generally means that the program is highly competitive.<\/p>\n

You could always just give the department a shout, there is usually someone eagerly waiting beside the phone hoping for your phone call!<\/p>\n
