whats the deal with studying abroad (through woodsworth college)?

\nthough Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin would definitely study abroad…or two!….askastudent does make those kinds of jokes. no siree. just like U of T, studying abroad is covered by multiple programs and offices. the summer abroad<\/a> program is offered through woodsworth college, but is available to all students. in the grand woodsworth tradition, academic standards for admission are basically non-existent- you just have to be in good standing, and apply before they run out of spots. and don’t forget to pay! some of the programs require you to write a letter explaining why you’d like to study in that particular country, and ‘cheap booze’ would probably not get you accepted. other than that, my friends have all said it’s brilliant fun times.
\nbeyond the woodsworth stuff, there are opportunities to study abroad through the international student centre<\/a> and the international student exchange office<\/a>. though it looks like they have some single-semester and summer programs, this is where it actual gets more complicated. see, some of these programs require really high marks, as high as a 3.5 GPA if you want to get the coveted Killam fellowship<\/a>. My friend used these departments to study in Edinburgh, where he had an amazing time and met his lovely girlfriend.<\/p>\n
