I am wondering about this new credit\/no-credit option at UofT. I?started my degree years and years ago, and now I’m back and everyone’s?talking about all the courses they’re taking “credit\/no-credit”‘.<\/p>\n
I looked into it, and it seems good, especially for a 3rd year seminar?in modern Hinduism I managed to get into without the prereq. But the?site states all sorts of warnings about how they’ll never give you?your grade, ever, so if you need all your marks for grad school applications you’d best avoid this option. But how am I to know? Any?idea yet what grad schools think of a couple of CRs showing up on the?early portion of a transcript?<\/p>\n

Do you have plans for grad school? If not, then CR\/NCR away!<\/p>\n
Is modern Hinduism relevant to your Subject POSts? If not, then CR\/NCR away!<\/p>\n
It’s all up in the air, really, and depends on the specific schools so I can’t speak for them. For the most part, however, your third- and fourth-year courses are what grad schools consider, so do consider that. And if you’re applying t0 some sort of religion program, then this course in Hinduism might be a bit important. Basically, it’s all based on whether or not the course is actually relevant to what you want to apply to.<\/p>\n
