Is it easier to transfer to social science than to other departments? Do you know how many people apply for criminology and how many people does U of T accept each year? My first term GPA is 3.17, second term is 3.4 and CGPA is 3.3 (all on a 4.33 scale). I was wondering what are my chances of getting in?<\/p>\n<p>Thanks!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Hey hey!<\/p>\n<p>According to admissions, most things that you&#8217;d be transferring to all call for the whole &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adm.utoronto.ca\/adm-awards\/admissions\/info\/admissionsIndex.action?selections.domain=ADM&amp;selections.name=SUBPAGE1&amp;selections.studentType.key=2C222222222222222222222222222222&amp;selections.status.key=&amp;selections.province.key=&amp;selections.country.key=&amp;selections.educationLevel.key=&amp;selections.institution.key=22222A22222222222222222222222222&amp;selections.program.key=222222222222222222A2222222222222&amp;selections.studentType2.key=\" target=\"_blank\">solid B average<\/a>,&#8221; so you SHOULD be fine. If we do the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubc.ca\/okanagan\/students\/advising\/academic-performance\/gpa-equivalency.html\" target=\"_blank\">conversion<\/a>, your CGPA becomes the equivalent of a UofT <a href=\"http:\/\/www.writing.utoronto.ca\/advice\/general\/grading-policy\" target=\"_blank\">B\/3.0<\/a>, so yeah!<\/p>\n<p>Now the hard part would probably be getting into the criminology major specifically. So on your application, as a transfer student from another university, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wdw.utoronto.ca\/index.php\/programs\/criminology\/transfer_students\" target=\"_blank\">criminology<\/a> requires you to indicate them as your program of study. Then they ask for an overall average of 76%.
