Hi, askastudent.
\nI’ve been searching everywhere and I cannot seem to find (either on the U of T
\nwebsite or otherwise) what exactly the cutoff is for the Commerce program.
\nWhat kind of marks are needed to get into U of T Commerce?? Good ones,
\nobviously, but how good? I’m currently a grade 12 student in Ontario<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> and
\nentering 2nd semester.? So far I have exactly 6 grade 12 U or M credits, and my
\nmarks are 80 (advanced functions), 85 (drama), 85 (english), 86 (history), 88
\n(psychology), and 95 (law). This gives me an average of 86.5%.? Also, I’m
\ntaking Data Management and Calculus this semester, and hopefully i’ll get a 90
\nin Data to bring my average up to an 88.? I’m just panicking because basically
\neverbody and their mother is getting early acceptance to Ottawa U as well as
\nscholarships, and nobody else that I know applied to U of T, so I really have
\nnobody else to compare with\/talk to. Please ease my fears, lest I end up at
\nMcMaster.<\/o:p><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

U of T will always be the last to let you know.? <\/span>And I can’t really say whether you’re in or not because I’m not as creepy as you think\/would like me to be.? <\/span>But you do have good academic standing for possible entrance to the program.? <\/span>I?ll directly quote the website for you:<\/span><\/p>\n

?Low to mid 80’s average plus completion of an on-line supplemental application (profile), listing extracurricular activities such as sports, music, clubs, and work experience.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Now, you seem very concerned about grades, but have you done anything with your life?? Like they’ve asked for on the website?? Hmmm?? <\/span>To me, you seem like you seem like one of those ?yeah, I took drama in high school for the easy mark\/class and I totally rocked it?.? <\/span>Of course you rocked it, jerk.? <\/span>You had perfect attendance and made some attempt to speak Shakespeare loudly without even knowing what you were talking about.? <\/span>And then, years down the road, you?re the kid who says at the camp fire ?oh yeah, I took drama in high school!?<\/span> <\/span>WELL YOU KNOW WHAT?!? <\/span>I TOOK MATH IN HIGH SCHOOL TOO AND GOT A 90.? <\/span>SAME DEAL.? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
