Thank you for choosing Assumption Airlines as your first choice airline for your trip to first year university. As you exit the craft, you’ll notice to the left some rumours and cattiness. On the right there’s some unsightly bitter people whom you are more than welcome to take advice from. Once you’ve had your fill of whatever new persona you’ve developed over the first few months, you can use your return ticket to visit your glory days in high school. Enjoy your new life!
\nYou will make friends. You will make friends. You will make friends. Is that enough reassurance for you?
\nNone of the colleges are really stuck up, or too religious, or too weird. I mean, yes, there ARE stigmas attached to each one, but it’s what you make of the situation, oserlay. And it’s not hard to make friends at other colleges either. Woodsworth has better rooms than UC. UC just happens to have more arty kids inhabiting its buildings. Also, I’ve made some killer friends within my college, and at other colleges too (if you need concrete examples from someone *ahem* experienced).
\nI’m sure you’ve heard that St. Mike’s is totally religious and lame. Fiction! The people I’ve met from there know how to party the best (though they do have mass available for you, if you want).
\nInnis and New are full of engineering douche bags. Fact. However, that’s only 40% of Innis. I can’t say much for New, but there are some really rad people at both.
\nTrinity is just horrifying. Fact and Fiction? Whatever. Untie the knot in your panties, put your grown-up pants on, and get ready for a universally feared thing called “frosh week”.
\nNow, if you do really, really want to change colleges, I would write a letter to the registrar’s office at University College, and then after hearing from them, write a letter to Woodsworth explaining your new change of heart. Just be patient because the finishing students and ones who are peeing their pants over summer school are harassing their advisers at this point and time in the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
ok, so from what i’ve heard, UC sounds like the best college (by best, i mean not religious, stuck-up, or too weird) and i’m kind of regretting my choice of Woodworth. it seems to lack character. i know it’s a little late now, but can anyone convince me that i made the right decision, or am i just going to have to make lots of friends at UC so i have an excuse for spending all my time there? thanks a lot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"_uf_show_specific_survey":0,"_uf_disable_surveys":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[91,89,68,32,17,12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-661","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-awkwardness","category-friends","category-frosh","category-residence","category-university","category-woodsworth"],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/661","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=661"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/661\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=661"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=661"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/askastudent.utoronto.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=661"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
