Instead I got into\u00a0New\u00a0College. Today (late May) I attended an open house of sorts, and we toured the residence rooms. To say I am not impressed would be an understatement. I have already accepted UofT (obviously) and have sent in my residence reply form. My first question is, is it still possible at this time to transfer into<br \/>\nUniversity<br \/>\nCollege, or am I just going to have to suck it up? Also, I have seen the UC dorms and I like them much better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>My second question: do languages count as a humanities or social science? I want to go into Pharmacy and one of the pre-requisites is that I have at least one humanities or social science course along with the regular sciences.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks!<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\" style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><!--more--><\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\" style=\"font-family: Arial;\">I&#8217;m sorry that you hate\u00a0New\u00a0College. The best thing that you can try to do (as I tell every other student hoping to switch) is to message the University College Registrar&#8217;s Office and see if there are any vacancies\/open spots for becoming a registered student there. But, can I just say, that you&#8217;re a student, and being somewhere that&#8217;s a bit dilapidated can be charming and hilarious. And if you end up on a floor of humdrums because of your own doing, you&#8217;ll hate yourself forever.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\" style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\" style=\"font-family: Arial;\">To answer your second query, languages are humanities courses, and yes, you need one science, one humanities, and one social science to graduate. This is to ensure that you are a well rounded human being once you leave our school &#8211; or at least that&#8217;s the goal. Be forewarned, however, languages are a bitch and the equivalent to having two courses because they&#8217;re so f*ing demanding.
