?<\/strong><\/span>Hey,<\/strong><\/span><\/span>I’m a newly admitted life science student and I would like to? eventually be accepted to a professional faculty, which unfortunately? means I need a minimum GPA of 3.7. With the ridiculous demands of my?science courses, I was hoping to find an easy humanity and an easy? social science where I can slack off (comparatively) yet still achieve?a high mark.<\/p>\n

I do NOT want to write essays. Long calculations don’t faze me but I? find long writing simply cumbersome. Although I realize this is hard? to avoid in university, I’ll be happy in a course as long as there is? minimal extensive writing.<\/p>\n

I was looking at some of the first-year social science seminars and? “You Say You Want an Evolution” actually sounds rather interesting.? However, do you happen to know what kind of work our mark would be? based on? Will it be a good choice for what I want?<\/p>\n

In terms of my humanity, French has always been a strength of mine,? but so far, I haven’t been hearing good things about the French? courses offered at UofT. Is it possible to get a high mark in the? language? French has never been difficult for me, but to be completely? honest, my French teacher for grade 12 was a total hackjob and I’m not? sure whether I will continue to get the same marks come September.<\/p>\n

Help? My registrar was useless.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Thanks.? <\/span>I do deserve Massive cred.? <\/span>That being said, I would take anything you could in a seminar.? <\/span>They?re small, easy, and made for you to get one of your credit requirements in the least stressful way possible.? <\/span>I can?t guarantee no essays (I’m sure if there were any, though, they’d be terribly short), but I know a lot of the grade is based?on attendance and participation.<\/span>?<\/span> <\/span>As for languages, and every askastudent to date has said something along these lines: they?re a bitch.? <\/span>They?re the equivalent to two courses and you have to be EXTREMELY dedicated, and to me it sounds like you want to actually have a life at university.? <\/span>If you really want it, maybe take it in the summer.? <\/span>But if you want a really good grade to boost your average, the seminar is the way to go.<\/span>?<\/span>Break a leg!<\/span><\/p>\n
