where do i find out information about distance education?<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

not here! ha ha ha. UofT does not do that. (toronto is part of the experience, man.) however, athabasca university<\/a> offers all of their courses through distance education. because who would want to go to athabasca? i was speaking with a department chair the other day, and he sounded pretty cool with transfer credits, but each department is different. got to your registrar’s office and get a letter of permission. basically you fill out a form and send it and the course description away. it goes through the bureaucratic machinery of your registrar’s office, the faculty of arts and science registrar’s office, the department’s office, back to the faculty, back to your registrar, and eventually back to you. the result will either be: yes! we will welcome this credit and the knowledge you acquired at this alternate institution as our own!, or no. UofT does not look highly on the so-called “knowledge” you wish to acquire at this “institution”, and we will refuse to accept it as our own, or no\/yes! we do not have an equivalent to this knowledge that you want to acquire, but we can see it’s value, so you will receive a blank credit (e.g. ENG3**) which count towards either your program or your degree. there are a number of other universities that offer distance education (like lakehead, because who would want to go to thunder bay?). your registrar is the place to begin. <\/font><\/p>\n
