subject POST

i’m married to my major…though i keep a few minors on the side (that sounded really bad)

I want to take the Book and Media Studies major, but the courses for the subject
start at SMC2***. I know that we have to choose our POSts at the end of first
year, so how would I know that I actually want this major if I can’t take any
of the courses until second year? Should I have signed up for them first year?
Can I even change my courses now (since I enrolled for them on Monday)?

contrary to popular belief, declaring a major is not always like getting a gigantic tattoo of a woman playing the electric guitar while riding on the back of a dragon all across your back. you can change it up as often as you’d like, you just have to get enough credits to complete the program and graduate. too many humanities students suffer from the mistaken notion that all programs suck and school is a 4 year torture endurance contest. in fact, this is only the case for science, engineering, and commerce students; humanities students always have the option to study something completely different. with book & media studies, you’ll just have to take a chance. since it’s a type 1 post, you’ll have no trouble getting in, and if you don’t like the classes, you can always do something different. and it’s never too late to change courses around.

this is aska, saying that the program you choose to study isn’t a permanent life choice…it’s more like….marriage. 6th time’s the charm for me!
