I’m worried that it will be difficult to adjust to living in Toronto if I go there. I’m from a small town. Is it hard?

it is hard if you don’t make the effort to get involved. events such as frosh week, and other campus shin-digs make it easy to meet new people. the more people you know, the easier it is to get settled in the big smoke. now, when you go to your first day of orientation, everybody’ll be standing around trying to exude as much coolness from their pores as possible. but that isn’t coolness you’re seeing, it’s just sweat. so relax, don’t try to take yourself, anyone else, or anything else too seriously, and start introducing yourself to people. they will respect you for your candor and forwardness, and appreciate it too, because they were too scared to come up to you. remember- the more people you get to know, the better off you’ll be…
that’s right, ole hogtown may seem big and scary to smaller town folks who have never been here before, but it’s not that rough. it just smells a bit.
