subject POST

I do declare!

hey. im a first year tryin to figure out what the hell is meant by declaring a major. when? where? how is this done? oh and what happens if ya have lost your password and everything for ROSI. yeah i think thats all.

thanks a whoopin bunch well, it’s a mighty good thing you asked cause very shortly, you will have to decide what you want to do with your life. at the end of first year, you will be asked to declare a major. a major, or subject post involves choosing the subject area or field that you are most interested in. if you’re smart, you’ll choose the area in which you received the highest marks.
now, this choice is only temporary. cause people change their minds all the time. for instance, i felt like having a sub for lunch and now i want a burger. i have the power to do that. you choose a subject post by checking the major, minor or specialist code in you registration handbook & timetable. all subjects with type 1 codes can be enrolled for via rosi hassle free and there is no limit to the number of spaces. there are no special requirements for these posts. type 2 codes require a specific course, grades and/or grade point average but doesn’t cap it’s limit of enrollment. type 3 courses have a fixed number of students that can enroll and specific course requirements. type 2 gpa requirement fluctuates every year. to enroll in type 2 and 3 subject posts, contact the respective department to find out how you can make that area of the university a better place.
so, you forgot your rosi password, eh? well, don’t feel bad, apparently this happens all the time. it truly marvels me when i consider that people like you get into u of t? all you gotta do is take a jaunt over to your friendly local registrar’s office and beg for retribution. ask for a lost t-card form and they’ll help you out. oh, as a word of caution, they will of course laugh at you.
cheers,
