Hello! I was just wondering what the UTM requirements are to apply to do a psychology major after not initially meeting the initial requirements. On the UTM calendar it says to go to the psychology homepage but I can’t seem to find anything lol.Thank you for your help! |

I feel like crying or throwing a plate against the wall … why UTM psychology … why?
It pains me to say this … but … I … can’t…. ugh … find it.
I’m going with it’s not published anywhere just to see if your psycho abilities can read minds or something. I found the St.George Second-year requirements, but that’s not really applicable unless you transfer to save some troubles.
Give one of these folks a shout:

Hey Aska and wandering soul!
I love this website, and thought I could help out.
These are the requirements:
1. completed any Gr.12(4U) Mathematics or equivalent;
2. completed 4.0 credits;
3. a grade of at least 63% in PSY100Y5; and
4. a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
I got this info from the following website which has the requirements for a psych specialist, major, and minor:
https://registrar.utm.utoronto.ca/regcal/WEBGROUP27.html
If you don’t have the prerequisites, you can always take more courses to boost your GPA and you’re allowed to retake intro to psych again to improve your mark to get into the program (the updated mark from the second try for PSY100 won’t count in the CGPA though).
Best of luck and I hope you get in!! 😀
