probation

2 CC, 4 Uni, 2 F, 1 C … riddle me that

Ok so my plan for college was to do 2 years at a community college then transfer to a four year private university. The first year was fine but the second fall semester I got two F’s and a C and was put on academic probation. My life is a mess right now so I decided to not take classes this spring semester, this was before I knew about the academic probation. So I guess what my question is if I am not taking classes to improve my GPA will they automatically lower me to suspension, then eventually kick me out?

Also, how will the schools I hope to try and apply for later on, look at this whole issue?

??????????????????????-

Generally, your academic standing is determined at the end of the summer session and the end of the fall/winter session. Meaning that you should have have known about your probation in Sept before the start of your Fall semester.

I have the sneaky suspicion that you are contacting me from outside of U of T and maybe even outside of Canada, which is super awesome but also makes it difficult to give you exact information.

Generally I would say that you stay on probation until you return to school, but because you started the academic session it might be recalculated.

Your best bet is to go to your registrars’ office and get a date with an academic advisor.

If you get your?average into what is needed for the?university that you are applying to, the probation might not make a difference in their decision.

forever truly your,
