summer

what the frack is financially cancelled?!

Hello,

I was registering my Subject POSts the other day and the “start session” showed up as 2013 Summer. Is that normal? I’m going into my second year now, and I have no idea how to function this… And why does my ROSI registration status indicate that I am financially cancelled… For Summer 2013? I don’t think I registered for summer tho :S

Hope you can understand my bad grammar + question 🙁

Thanks.

Yo.

So nothing to fear, everything is fine!

Well, as long as you don’t plan to take any summer classes — in which case just ignore that.

Basically, all students are invited to take summer courses. But if you haven’t enrolled in anything / paid by the deadline (April 25), then you’re considered “Financially Cancelled.” And as long as summer courses have no meaning to you, you can be on your merry way. 🙂

xoxo,

aska

Hi I have a question in regards to financially cancelled. I applied for OSAP (entering 3rd year) and I deferred my fees. TOday i checked my rosi account just for the heck of it and it says that my status is financially cancelled. (For fall 2013)
    a) any idea what that means
    b) why is it occurring if i already deferred my fees
    c) it gave me the option to defer my fees agin so i did it :s

please help I’m freaking out here

Same here! I deferred my osap fees and even paid the minimum registration fees. Rosi even stated me as registered and now I’m on financially suspended! Freaking out

The same thing happened to me – I applied for OSAP, and deferred my fees and I’m showing up financially cancelled too (for Fall 2013).

I’m going to burn down registrar’s office on Tuesday…

everyone who says they’re financially cancelled:

are you suuuuure you’re not looking at the tab for “summer 2013”?

the only reason you’d be financially cancelled in august is if you didn’t bother enrolling in classes. if you did enrol in courses, however, students become financially cancelled as of today TODAY assuming they haven’t paid yet.

ummmm?. i got my money from OSAP, paid my tuition fees for both fall and winter 2013-2014 and my winter 2014 classes are all gone. when i checked my rosi it said I was financially cancelled and I have a credit balance of 3000 or so, supposedly the money that have paid my three courses this winter semester. I already started the classes too and then poof! it’s all gone! what the hell!!!

it could be a whole bunch of things! talk to your college registrar, they’ll know why it happened and how to help you.

I applied for my Subject POST and got in but basically it was after 4.0 credits so I was automatically charged for the previous years fees since it’s a deregulated program. So there’s about 5000 due fees waiting in my financial account. I plan to take S courses for the summer but will I have to pay this 5000 off before I can register for that second semester of summer?
