Hi! I was just wondering what sort of audition requirements are needed to join the U of T orchestra/symphony. When are the auditions, and what kind of schedule does the orchestra have? What sorta stuff do they do? Thanks so much!
the information for this coming september has not been released yet but here’s last year’s synopsis:
Under the direction of Dr. Errol Gay, the Hart House Orchestra brings members of the House together to play great works from the symphony orchestra repertoire of Classical, Romantic, and Modern music. The seventy-piece group rehearses every Thursday evening in the Great Hall. Two concerts are presented each year. Rehearsal weekends take place in Hart House and at the Hart House Farm. Open rehearsals, followed by auditions, are held in September.
