it’s ok not to be special

Hey, I was just wondering, how likely is it to get early admission? My average was 86% last year, do you think that’ll cut it? Thanks (:

I would like to answer you with a question of my own: What’s the deal with early admission? Is it that important? Maybe not attending an Ontario high-school has detached me from the mindset of today’s youngsters, but I really don’t get it. As I understand it, early admission is granted to a minority of students that have a ridiculously high average (like 98%). And what it actually means is that they are notified about their conditional admission to UofT in February rather than around April. So I guess you don’t qualify. Really, I wouldn’t go apeshit over it.

Sorry, I disagree with you here. Back in high school my average is about 87%, I was granted non-conditional early admission. That means even I get a 70 average in the end, I still get in.

    i guess you’re the special one…
anyway that’s the info i got.
and again the question arises: who cares about early admission???

well, i was just curious because some of my friends
already got accepted to other schools and their averages
were lower than mine last year (grade 11). so i was wondering
if uoft also gave out early admissions this, well, early. but i guess
    not lol.

I totally agree — it’s not like getting in early means that you’ll start classes and that before everybody else does.
