the fourth year is the one where you hit on first years the most

Thought you might have something to ofer on this. I;m in third year and I’m burnt out. I don’t want to go back to school in september. My marks have been declining since first year and I just don’t feel up to another year. I have completed a B.A. Do I need honors? I really just want a year off. thnks for your help. Great site!

this seems to be a fairly common feeling amongst third year students. i”m guessing its because you’re sick of the same old crap that UofT continues to dish at you. this is a call only you can make. are there consequences to getting a 3 over a 4 year degree? yah, i guess so. it will affect grad school opportunities, and honours BA does look better on a resume. is that last year alone going to score you up a job? probably not. but it completely depends on what you intend to do with your degree.
so go to a coffee shop, get a massive mug of java, and write down what you would do for the next year if you weren’t in school. if when you’re done you think that ‘not-in-school’ list seems more productive or effective or comfortable, then maybe you’ve got better things to be doing than a 4th year at UofT.
your call my friend. choose wisely.
cheers,
