Dear askastudent, I’m a first year student and i’m having lots and lots of worries about choosing my courses. I don’t know if my schedule is practical. on some days I have 2.5 courses and on one day i don’t have any. Do you think 2.5 courses is too much to handle for a first year student? Note: I really enjoy your site, it’s very helpful for confused people like me. Keep up the good work! =)
sorry kid, i’m a little confused about what you you mean by 2.5 courses on one day. if you write back and clarify i’ll hook you up some info. as far as the day off is concerned, it’s practical. it will give you a day to sleep late, do homework, or even score a job if your cash situation is flagging.
basically, you should take 5.0 credits in your first year, with 2.5 of them per term. try to take a couple of your breadth requirements (see calendar), a definitely stick with the day off. also, if you need as hand with making some decisions, keep in mind that you can always chat up a counselor at your registrar’s office. they should have someone you can make an appointment with to figure this stuff out.
cheers,
askastudent
