no, because everyone drinks in math class

Is MAT135Y a review of OAC Calculus? If I didn’t do well in OAC Calc, will I be overwhelmed in that class?
hey,

as far as i know mat135y is a fairly difficult course, most likely part of the material would be a review. this is what the calendar had to say : “review of differential calculus; applications. integration and fundamental theorem; applications. series. introduction to differntial equations. if you think you need a review, UofT does offer a summer program to prepare you for university math called “p.u.m.p.” info on this program can be found at the pump website. if you do decide to take the course, i’m sure you will do fine as long as you’re prepared to eat your breakfast out of a text book.

The first half of the course is basically all review of the calc bit of gr 12 (this was when advanced functions and introductory calc were one course in Ontarios schools–I’m not sure about the new curriculum), with a few new concepts (new differentiation rules, formulas) thrown in.

Tests are NOT easy, though, and it’s really advisable to buy past tests from the bookstore as a study guide.

The second half (January onward) is all new stuff–integration and such. Even harder than the first half of the year, so if your mark is shit by December, you might consider dropping 135 and taking that reprise program set up for those that doing amazingly at MAT135 (you get equivalent credits, but the course extends into the summer I think).
