scholarships/bursaries

a documentation situation

If you get any sort of scholarship, do you receive a letter of recognition per say with your cheque or do you just receive your cheque with no explanation? Thanks.

unless you happen to be a character in a Charles Dickens novel, scholarships are usually bequeathed with some kind of documentation. while this may not necessarily hold fast for all, the companies that dole out the cash and you yourself need information to let it be legitimate. please note that if you require documentation for financial statements or just to rub it in your parent’s faces, you are perfectly warranted to inquire at the company of whoever is paying your way.
