Transferring

a transfer to toronto please!

Hi,

I am considering of transferring from UofOttawa to U of t (any campus really…) into the biochemistry program. Everytime I call the school asking what gpa’s are usually admitted they just tell me to refer to the website. I’m a part time student for health reasons and therefore don’t have the advantage of taking extra classes to boost my gpa. So what I’m asking really is even with a GPA a little less than a B will I be okay?

Your answer will be much appreciated 🙂

Hey hey!

For anyone aiming to get into UofT, whether you’re a bright-eyed twelfth grader with this super high average that come university will totally plummet, or someone at another university that’s come to the realization that they just need to switch over to UofT, the best place to go is the Admissions website. Whoever you were talking to on the phone wasn?t kidding. You get to fill out this ultra specific questionnaire that gives you equally specifically answers!

So you for, after checking off “I’m a student in a Canadian University or College” and specifying that you go to another university, you just add that you aim to enter the “Life/Biological Sciences/Psychology” stream and voila!

According to these results, you’ll need what is literally referred to as a “solid ‘B‘ average,” so you should be fine! However, I stress aiming as high as possible in terms of your GPA in case the competition gets a little tough.

Best of luck!
