Hi Askastudent!
I have a question about academic probation and subjectPOST…
I just finishe first year with a GPA less than 1.50…so I guess I’m on probation. BUT after summer courses, I will have a GPA of 1.55. Is that enough to be in good standing in sept 2008?
And since I will still have less than 4 credits after summer, I won’t have a subjectpost in sept…does that mean I will continue as a first year student? and won’t be able to enroll in 200 level courses?
Thanks for your time!
Your summer time GPA is different from your CGPA ? which is the accumulation of all of your grades combined. If your CGPA is 1.55 that means that you are in good academic standing – !! – and congratulations for bringing your mark up, if you actually did. If you were wrong in your findings, then that really sucks. It?s like getting a scratch and win ticket that?s a ?winner?, later to find out your friends tricked you with a gift from the It Store. Or smashing open a Pinata that was filled with bees. You will have to come into September as a ?first year student? because you don?t have enough credits, but less pressure and more time to choose a subject post is not a bad thing. Also, you still can sign up for second year courses, as long as you have the pre-requisites needed to be accepted (if there are any).
