where oh where are the engineers going to live?

So, I’ve been admitted to the Faculty of Engineering, now which residence do I try to get into? The housing office says most engineering students are housed at Tartu. What’s up with that? Any other options? I know Innis can be hard to get into. Thanks.

didn’t anyone tell you? many engineers smell like computers and bridge materials and so they must be sequestered away from the general student body in a castle called tartu. ha ha ha. actually, since the engineering faculty is not associated with a college per se, there is no real residence that engineers go to and so most of them wind up in the cavernous apartment building, tartu, which is designated mostly for “overflow”. if you want to try for innis, you’re a little late and, besides that, engineers must have extremely high averages to even dream of a suite in innis.
the actual process that your application followed started when you filled out your residence preference form, continued with the allotment of spaces by the “residence info manager” at the koffler student centre, and will culminate when she is done and has sent out the notices back to budding stinkballs like yourself.

No big worries though cuz UofT made a promise to all froshies to give them housing and that is a promise that they must keep!
on the engineering site, they refer you here and so i will too.

if you want to speak directly to the res info manager, her number is here: 416 978-8027 but she is a very nice lady who works very hard so please don’t bombard her with questions..that’s what i am here for!

cheers,
