**gag** did you hear that? that was the sound of me choking on my own tongue by the weight of this question. do people think that they can just not show up to any orientation, forgo reading the books that we all have to read, and just rely on good ole askastudent to shine the light to first year? fuggedaboutit! i can tell you the essentials but do make an appointment or call your college registrar asap. if you are an innis student, you can reach the registrar’s office at 416 978-2513.
1. choose courses. look ahead to what you need to graduate and start planning now.
2. write down chosen courses and then pick back-ups in case you lose your spot in the mad, mad scramble that is the rush to sign up for classes.
3. wake up way early to get yourself a spot in your classes on August 1st. sign up on the student web service
4. spend the rest of the academic year living with your choices and struggling to get ahead in this dog-eat-dog microcosm of the world that is skool.
