Do you know if AP classes will replace the Sat II requirements for US students, or is it only AP tests?
And how easy is it to change programs at UofT from the one you listed on the OUAC form?
thanks
Gosh, I had no idea how murky the waters of UofT admission were! In search of an answer for your deceivingly simple inquiry, I encountered a web of uncertainty and red-tape. The general idea is that you can substitute AP Tests for an SAT II mark, but it depends on a million different factors which I can’t even try to describe (like the specific area your applying to etc.). If you got an admission package from UofT, check out the contacts listed there for admissions inquiries and call them with your question. Plus, here are some contacts:
admissions and awards: 416-978-219
This is the section about AP/SAT in the admissions website: http://www.adm.utoronto.ca/adm/adm_intl_req/adm_usa_stu.htm]
Check these out. If you can’t find a straight answer. write aska again, and I promise to hunt down an admissions person and give you his/her contact info.

Thanks for the response, I got in anyway so I guess AP classes work in place of the tests. What about the second question. Is the program you listed on the OUAC form a permanent thing? Is it easy to switch programs (like from human biology to health studies) once you get there?

sorry i missed the second one.
what you sign up for on OUAC is not your program of study. it’s your admission category, which means that if you apply to UofT under life-science, for example, you’ll get priority in enrollment for life-sci courses. same thing for other enrolment categories. you don’t select your program of study until you finished at least 4 credits (usually that happens at the end of the first year).

Thanks!
