GPA,  scholarships/bursaries

thousands of newly admitted students now seek revenge…

Long story short, I wasted a lot of money and dropped a bunch of courses. I’ll have 3 credits by May, but I’m planning to take 1 credit in the summer. My question is, are there any automatic scholarships given to you if you have a high GPA, but few credits? I’m standing at a 3.85 GPA right now, but I don’t know if this even matters since I didn’t take a full course load.

PLEASE HELP ME! I need to know if there’s any way I can somehow get back the money I wasted…

I guess students like you are the reason for all this flat fee business…

I dunno, maybe there should be a fuck-the-system award, for conniving students who are able to manipulate their GPA by rightly calculating their academic flops.

Actually, I don’t think that your credit accumulation is necessarily what influences your prospects of getting a scholarship. Assuming you’re in your first year, and that you’ll have 4 courses complete by the end of the summer, I can’t see why you wouldn’t be considered for any merit-based in-course scholarships offered at your college. If you want to know which ones are available, go talk to your registrar. Usually these are distributed in the first months of the fall semester.
