learning to study on the train

I travel 2.5hrs each day to and from school. When I get home am really tired and I just want to sleep. How do I find time to study?

sorry kid, there’s no way. you might as well drop out of school and perfect your change-asking technique. i liked this one i saw the other day that said “supermodel out of work. spare some change.”
have you thought about moving towards the school? is it financially feasible? there’s realy no point in paying a whack of cash for tuition only to then perform half-assedly in your classes due to transportation issues. you should just try to find some place new campus, or even just arrange to stay down here with a friend every now and then.
you’ll find that everybody who commutes has an issue with this. i would suggest just reading on the subway and bus (or are you driving?) but have been told it’s often hard to get a seat at the times you would be traveling, and that frequent transfers really make it a dumb idea. have you considered staying here on campus to do your studying after class, and then going home at a time when traffic (both car and pedestrian) is lighter? that might be a good option. you can study in robart’s or woodsworth college, which are both pretty good places to get some solid work hours in.
i don’t really know what else to say. the reality of your situation isn’t really anything you can get around. you should pony up the cash and move downtown if possible. don’t piss your tuition money out the window.
cheers,
