does engineering crave a bit of artsci?

i am admitted in the faculty of arts and science. if i reapply for the faculty of engineering after the first year, will the credits i gain in first year be valuable?

um…….no. ok, well, that’s not entirely true. engineering does have certain writing requirements that must be fulfilled, and you could take that in first year. the engineering program, as you may have heard, is a die-hard program for the best and brightest. as such, i think they must have something against the arts and sci courses here. or perhaps it’s more an issue of trying to hone their students minds towards engineering only. there isn’t many courses that will have any carry over value.? also, any questions you have would be best directed to the engineering department’s registrar.?? give these guys a call.?? they’ll give you the low down, and could even suggest which courses specifically will be best for you take to take as an aspiring bridge builder or blower-upper, or whatever the hell it is you crazy engineers do for a living.

write back if you have more questions, and let me know how everything turned out for you.
cheers,
