Is it possible to manage:
– 6 full courses (17 hours of classes/week)
– job (17 hours/week)
– sport (appr. 5 hours/week)
– many, many, many extracurricular activities (time involvement impossible to estimate)
– a bit of volunteering (from time to time, nothing stable)
and:
Have an A average??? I really really need to know!
ok. how am i supposed to answer this? first of all…i don’t know you. are you a go getter? do you get distracted by television and bars? do you intend to have a social life outside of these things? what are the 6 courses? this can make a big difference. if you’re going into first year humanities or general arts & science it might be doable but if you’re going into 3rd year engineering than no.
let me put it this way, no matter how you cut it, this is going to be a difficult schedule to stick to. if you have 6 classes you’re gonna have a lot of reading and a lot of writing. can you kill the job (or cut back some shifts) and get a bursary or some other financial aid to help? are the sports or ‘many, many, many extracurricular’ events something that can be limited in weeks when you have a whack of tests, or are they things you’ll be obliged to regardless of your course/job demands?
i want to help, but i don’t think i can really offer too much that’s useful. you would know best. what i can say is that i took on a similar work load while at school, and i’m light yearts from having an A average. nuff said.
cheers,
