been answering questions about Trinity for parents since 2012

Hi

My daughter just received confirmation of her room in Trinity Residence.

Welcome to Trinity College. We are pleased to offer you a space in residence and look forward to having you as part of the community. You have been assigned to room 492 in Seager – located in the Trinity Residence at 6 Hoskin Ave. This is a Single room.

Is there any way to get a layout of the building to find the exact location of the room and which floor it is on ?

Thanks

Keith

Why hello there father Trinity,

I’m sure you could bribe a security guard with a little something something, but I think if you give Trinity College a call (416) 978-2522 and explain why you need the information they would be more then happy to help you!

If I had to guess though … because I always like to test my luck … I would say your daughter’s room is on the 4th floor.

Seagar is located in the northwest corner of the main Trinity building. And she will be on the fourth floor (I don’t know if her window will face to the backfield or the quad). Seagar is a very quiet house, all-girls (all houses are divided by gender), but since it’s in Trin proper she’ll still be close to all the fun.

    Hi there,

Welcome to Trinity! Your daughter will be living on the 4th floor of Seager House (aka the quiet house) in Trin proper. That’s on the very left side of the quad when you enter from the front door, and up the stairs. You can ask a porter at the Porter’s Lodge (right beside the front door) for directions. Here is a map to help you through: http://i45.tinypic.com/15i27ba.jpg

    See you in September!

If I’m not mistaken, the fourth floor is actually the third floor, since at Trin the main floor is “second” and the basement is first/”sub”. But still, she’ll get plenty of exercise on those stairs 🙂 it’s also close to the dining hall, although she’ll have to go to the other building for weekday breakfast.
