there’s a couple avenues for connivers, such as yourself. you can try to talk to the prof yourself and convince/beg him to let you in to the class. (i did this when i accidentally signed myself up for the wrong section of a class. good thing old british women LOVE askastudent!)
alternately there’s the u of t guarantee that you will get the course you need to graduate within 4 years of study. some people would say “hey u of t, shouldn’t that happen anyway?”. however, those people are at queens. i guess if you are truly in a jam, you can throw that promise around and hope for the best.
thirdly, you could maybe convince a friend to add/drop the class you want at precisely the same time you add the class. let’s hope that your friend isn’t asleep or eating cereal at the time.
lastly, cry at the registrar’s office. we respond well to tears, sexual favors and free food. don’t look so shocked – how else do you expect to graduate within 4 years?
