Hey Aska… this is going to sound like a stupid question (and maybe it really
is a stupid question) but I’ve looked through the course calendar and on the
philosophy department website and I can’t find an answer so here goes… I want
to take a class about existentialism. Preferably an intro course or at least one
with little or no pre-reqs… surely such a course exists… right…?
the class you’re looking for would be PHL217H1: introduction to continental philosophy. though it isn’t exclusively existentialist, there is a lot of existentialism. plus you’ll get to read other works too, maybe even ideas of thought that are less cliche for undergraduate university students. HERE ME NOW: your week’s existentialist readings should not be discussed at bars in some attempt to impress members of the opposite sex. that is the path to lameness.
