no more paint by numbers!! design a degree

Does U of T have a “Design Your Own Major” program? if so, where can I get more information?

yep, UofT does a have design your own major, but of course, it’s called ‘self-designed programs’. there is info at the bottom of this page. basically, this is how it works.
1. your academic goals soar high above what UofT is currently offering. you have a plan, divinely bestowed upon you, and you must follow your dreams.
2. You write it down, sculpt it, create this masterpiece out of the arts and sci calendar.
3. You consult your registrar immediately after conpleting your forth credit to start the arduous process.

if you are serious about this, i recommend seeing a councellor before that time. you are going to have to have good reasons for needing to create your own program. here’s an example of a bad reason: i am an eglish student, but i don’t want to take the program requirement of major brit writers. i am creating a program identical to an english program, but without that course.

students do it. that’s why it’s offered. it is apparently a long and thorough process though. i think it would be awesome to actually study what you want to study. that’s the whole idea of university, eh? good luck. tell me how it works out.

cheers,
