courses,  distribution

Yes, I swear. U of T Admin do know how to add.

Hey,

I need your help. I am doing a double major..a major in art history and a major in religion. I noticed in the course calendar it says something about 2 major programs “must include at least 12 different courses.”

what does this mean? I know one of my art history courses can also be counted as my religion credit (it is one of the cross-listed courses) so does that mean courses cannot overlap? As you can see Im pretty confused. Any help would be great. thanks!

?

Oh no, don?t worry about being confused.? The course calendar and time table make as much sense as a Newfoundlander drunk out of his or her mind.?

When you add up the total of courses between your two majors, then you should see 12 different courses.? To graduate with an Honours Degree, you need only 20, which is written terribly in the hand book because generally, you?d think that 12 +12 = 24.? But basically, it means that you can have 8 other credits, two of which have to be in the other two disciplines aside from Humanities (one Science + one Social Science).? And courses can overlap.? It?s kind of the point too, if you need 8 credits in both majors.
