I Fear the Unknown

Hello aska!
Sorry to interrupt your studying, especially now that it’s exam season and whatnot, but I really need your help! I’m a grade 12 student and I’ve received an acceptance from Trinity. However, all I’ve heard about it are negative things, and I feel kind of discouraged. Is it really THAT bad?

Additionally, I’m interested in applying for the Major or Specialist International Relations program and it says that all I need is a GPA of 3.0 if I’m not mistaken.

Given the competition though, I doubt that it’s a realistic mark to actually be admitted to the program. What mark do I truly need to actually get in?

It means a lot to me, because I can’t seem to make up my mind on where to go!

Thank you for your time, I really, really appreciate it! 🙂

Well, don?t feel badly about interrupting my study time, because you didn?t.? I took a month off from helping people like you.? Heh!

?

To get to the down and dirty about Trinity College ? if you like tradition, gossip, secret societies, good parties, and Harry Potter, stay at Trin.? If you don?t, I guess run for the hills.? But because the college is so old, there?s a lot of scholarship and grant opportunities available.? And they put on the best plays at U of T.? (Yeah, I said it.? Suck it, Hart House)? Though, to get to a point of putting on the best productions, having such a huge history, and throwing the best parties, you?re going to get a lot of pompous douche bags running around the halls of your college.? But, then again, can arrogance cleanse one?s soul?? I leave that question for you, the reader to answer.? But, coming from a fine arts discipline myself, I think it?s necessary to carry an air of self worth in your back pocket to unleash on unsuspecting Catty McCatterstons who deserve it every once and a while.

?

Also, your program of interest is within your college ? coincidence?? I think not.? This link will provide you with all of the information that you need about your admission.? Yes.? You must complete a year of university first before getting into the program and you do need to maintain your GPA at 3.00 if you want to do a specialist.? To do a major, you need a 2.70.? Both are very do-able.? Like, 73% and up 70?s.? And I say that to you, truly, madly, and deeply.? We don?t do April Fools-esque jokes about academics online.? Those are for chumps.
