Well I want to get in to Biomedical Science (Life Science) in UofT and im in my first semester of grade 12, midterms are being give next week and im expecting a mid to high 70s.
I have Bio 12 and my mark is in the 70s but i can pull it up to high 80s by final.. my worry is Advanced functions I have a low 50 is it possible if I pass with high 60’s or low 70’s and still have a chance to get in to UofT?
Ps. I still have 1 more 4u course where i have a high 80 and also next semester calculus, chemistry and engligh. Does Uni only look at the average of our 6 4U courses?
Well, I hate to be a slacker, but my last reply to a VERY similar question was so exquisite I thought you also might want to enjoy it:

Yes, life sucks, and the university looks at grade 12 second term midterm marks, and any final marks from the?1st semester you have completed (Not the final grades of the 2nd semester). The way it goes is that they check 6 of your best M/U course marks,?including your?English mark, and then for the marks of individual courses required for whatever your applying to. So even though you might have a high average, if you don’t fulfil the advanced functions requirement it’ll be a serious obstacle in your way to life-science. So try the humanities route, as mentioned in the link above.
To get a more detailed assessment of your situation,?I’d?recommend calling Admissions and Awards, provided you already went through their website and still have questions:

From the adm.utoronto.ca website:
“…present six appropriate Grade 12 U or M courses, including English…”
So it looks like English is included in those 6 U/M courses, not on top of them. At least, I hope?
Also, I was under the impression that midterm marks from 1st semester aren’t looked at, but final marks from first semester and midterm marks from 2nd semester are. Does U of T consider 1st semester midterm marks for admission?
