admissions,  economics,  transfer credits

i think i just heard rudolph cry

If I took the AP macro/micro-economics exams and got credit for ECO100Y, what mark would I get for it.. or would it just say ‘passed’ on my transcript? If I wanna use this credit to apply for an economics or commerce POSt in 2nd year, I know I need like a 67% but if I was just exempted because of AP what mark would they use? Or would the require me to take the actual course and forfeit the AP credit?

?

Honestly, I am trying to be all holiday-spirited and chipper, but these admission questions are really making it hard to maintain my sugar-and-spice fa?ade, which is tenuous as it is.

AP? macro? micro??? Those aren’t good words! Why not talk about eggnog, and reindeers, and the obsessive pathology of Western consumerism?? That’s what this is all about… Well, come to think of it, you really weren’t that far off…

The ECO100 AP credit is tricky. I’m not sure what material your course covered, and how much it matches the requirements of eco/com programs. When you submit your transfer credit/s in the application form, they are assessed, and then you’ll know if your AP credit is equivalent to the ECO100 taught at UofT, and if you are in fact exempt from that course. Another option is that it will only count as a generic ECO credit, and in that case you’ll have to take ECO100 at the university (you don’t have to forfeit it unless it says you’re excluded from that course). In any case, you won’t know the exact status of your AP credit until you’re admitted and the transfer credit is assessed. Bummer. When you’re accepted, if you still have questions, go to your college registrars and ask them about it, and they’ll be able to help you figure out what to do.
