Hi, i?m in grade 9, and want to do something in medicine. I want to become a doctor or such. I just want to know what are the cutoff marks (or what should my average be aroud) and how much do they look at grade 9 and 10 marks, if at all? Just a few questions, my avg. in gr. 9 is 97. What should be around in the senior grades. Also, how big a role does community service play. Is it as much of a deal as it is served up to be? Could u e-mail me the answers pls.? Also, if there is additional information you could give me I?d be very grateful. I was also thinking about a uniiversity such as U of T, McMaster, Western, etc.
Thanks.?

They don?t place a lot of emphasis on grade nine marks. Though, keep your marks up so that learning in the upper years isn?t difficult. And the cut off will be different in your first year from what it is now, and I hopefully won?t be around by then. But stay on the honour roll just in case. Volunteering and extra-curricular activities are great because it gives you real life experience and means that you?re not an unsociable library tool. Who wants a doctor who?s never been sick and judges you for stuff? Not me. And I can?t really comment on any school other than U of T, so don?t ask me what it?s like at McMaster or Western. Lastly, for, next time, write me a question in the designated space. Not the comment box. But it?s OK because you?re allowed to make mistakes in grade nine and ten. Take a bird course and go crazy!!!! High school getting involved grades

Grade 9? Ride the wave until early grade 11. *Experiment*, DO NOTHING!! please!!
Grades 9 and 10 I think I mustered a 70 average- then buckled down and swept into university with 90’s.

Seriously, enjoy freedom while you can- DO NOT WORRY, eager beaver
