hey. I want to register for Atom Egoyan’s class, Transgressions: An Approach to Interdisciplinary Practice. What is the course code?
firstly, you posted your name as “johnny marr”. for referencing the smiths on this blustery october day, you get askastudent bonus points! congratulations. they’re good for a free dinner at new gen, all you have to do is pay for your meal seperately first.
personally, i have no idea what this class is all about. for 4th year students, the program secretary sent out invitations urging students to apply in the summer. they had to fill out a specific application process and write up a portfolio. apparently 2 students from cinema studies, drama, and visual arts were accepted to work with mr. egoyan. and i kind of don’t know anything else.
my advice? ask deborah ohab (d.ohab@utoronto.ca), the program secretary. egoyan has signed a 3 year contract with u of t as a visiting professor, so chances are, the course will be offered again if it works out. it definently seems like a neat opportunity – so i would try to apply for your year, next year. best of luck…not. i want in too!
