someone get this student 10 mojitos and a backrub

Ok, heres the deal. I have major issues on deciding where I want to go in life
(ex. career). I’m entering 2nd year and I’m torn on whether to study something
like architecutre/english or human biology. Firstly, I am bad at math and I am
frightened of CHM139. Plus, I dont want a crappy GPA at the end of my undergrad
so that it hinders my competitveness for grad schools. I feel, or I should say
engrained, that getting a BSC is like so godly where as a BA is like for stupid
or lazy people. AHHH. Am I being lazy for not wanting to enter biology despite
the fact it interests me? Plus, I know that our undergrad programs don’t matter
for law/medical schools, but in reality how many non-science undergrads actually
    make it into med school?

Thanks for the advice wise one lol!

from rolling 20’s (as in crips) to rolling 20’s (as in dungeons & dragons)

So my CGPA sucks, no joke cause I screwed up first year. But my annual GPA for
the last few years have rocked. I’m graduating next year and I’m wondering if
there are any recognitions for high GPA’s (ex. 3.5+) in the final year? I know
you get that “high distinction” for CGPA, but what about if you did really well
in your last year when you graduate? Don’t I get something???

laws are always holding us back, man…gravity…no bazookas…

I am planning on going to law school and I am thinking of staying an extra year in undergrad (after my 4th year) before applying to law school. I am only in second year right now, but so far my marks have not been so good and I’m worried that they will hinder my prospects of getting in. I’ve heard that some people stay an extra year to increase their gpa (UofT’s law school considers the gpa of your last 3 years of undergrad). So is it possible to stay an extra year like that? Is it frowned upon by law schools?
    Thank you!

art, the most confusing program in the university 2: the revenge of the subject post…

    I have another question!
I don’t really understand the concept of Subject POSt’s.
When the time comes to choose one, whats the process? I know there is a place to chose one on rosi, and then I know you must get approval, but how does that all work?
I have a problem! I just found out I need a 70% in two classes to get into the program I want. (Visual Studies) I don’t remember ever reading that before, it doesn’t seem fair! Thats higher than so many other programs. Now lets say I don’t get those marks, then pretty much I’m screwed. Lets just say I come close…68% say, is there anyone I can look sad in front of to change it!?? (I’m guessing no eh?)

stuck in the middle with PSL302…

I want to die right now. I’m stuck between whether to drop my PSL302 course or stick with it. My mark stands at a pathetic 53% at the moment. If I drop it, i’m left with the option of taking it in summer school which means stay in toronto (i’m from way out of town), waste more money, let go of a well paying summer job and also the possibility of going to Europe. Or, I take the course in my 4th year or the summer after 4th year or totally drop the idea of getting a human bio specialist. If I don’t drop it, chances are I won’t make a 70% and my GPA will be at a all time low which will not impress MBA schools or any graduate schools. If you were me, what would you do? Part of me wants to drop the course but if I do, will I do better in my other courses because I have less work or will they still suffer? Are summer courses that much easier as people say they are? HELP!

    nothing to brag about

I know last year during frosh someone explained all this but….. I was wondering about GPA’s. Can someone give me a breakdown on what means what. Basically someone (I don’t appreciate at ALL) has a 1.9 and I want to know how low (in percentages) that actually is. It’s evil, but he was showing off like it was a badge of honour so I don’t feel exceedongly guilty.
    thanks man
