    probably not happening

    October 9, 2001

Hey there! I was wondering if it would be possible for me to transfer into U of T from high school after first semester; can I do this and how would I do so? My average is fairly high up there (93-96%) and I’m pretty sure I can handle university. I want to start early so I can have a few extra months in the summer to work. Anyway, if you can e-mail me back with an answer that would be great, your site’s awesome and may the force be with you.

just show up and pretend you’re at UofT

    July 22, 2001

Do you know how long it can take before the last, last admission decision is made? I have been supplying all the materials your guys need, but as of date they haven’t responded with anything. All quiet. LAst time I checked, I was informed to wait between 2-6weeks. This is almost the 2nd month.Any other place I should follow up? Pliz don’t tell me to call the admission office. I know my marks are good enough to get me in. Take care.

maybe you just THINK you’re speaking English, it’s just bad dubbing

    June 25, 2001

Hi, I’m a high school student (will graduate next year) and I’ve just been told that I will have to write the TOEFL exam. I’ve been in Canada for 2 years now. Because of this I have to write the TOEFL. (universities require 4 years in an english speaking country to be exempt from taking the test)However, I have been speaking English all my life, in fact it’s the only language I speak. Why should I have to prove my English speaking capabilities just because I attended a school (which by the way was an ‘American school’) in a country where English is not the dominant language? Should I just suck it up and write the test (which I will have to pay for), or do you think it’s worthwhile trying to get an exemption?
